The process to check the Wi-Fi password on Windows 10 and Windows 11 is quite similar. Here are the steps for both operating systems:
On Windows 10:
Click on the network icon located in the system tray, typically found at the bottom-right corner of the taskbar. It looks like a series of bars or a Wi-Fi symbol.
A list of available Wi-Fi networks will appear. Right-click on the network you are currently connected to.
From the context menu that appears, select "Properties."
In the Wi-Fi network properties window, navigate to the "Security" tab.
Under the "Network security key" section, check the box next to "Show characters." The Wi-Fi password will now be visible in the "Network security key" field.
On Windows 11:
Click on the network icon in the system tray, usually located at the bottom-right corner of the taskbar. It resembles the Wi-Fi signal strength bars.
A list of available Wi-Fi networks will appear. Locate the network you are currently connected to and right-click on its name.
In the context menu that appears, select "Properties."
A settings window will open, displaying the properties of the Wi-Fi network. Scroll down to the "Network security key" section.
Check the box next to "Show characters." The Wi-Fi password will now be visible in the "Network security key" field.
Remember that administrative privileges may be required to access network properties and view the Wi-Fi password on both Windows 10 and Windows 11.
